In the summer of 2025, during research into immersive rendering, we found a region of GPU memory that returns nothing to the host — present in the hardware, absent from the operating system's view. Most would have routed around it. We kept probing it.
The architecture of modern computing assumes memory is addressable — an assumption so fundamental it was never stated. The discovery revealed the assumption. The engineered substrate removes it: Sovereign Stateless Computing is structural separation by design — no host-reachable control that can map the sovereign region back into view, portable across accelerator families, attestable by anyone. The trust boundary sits below the operating system, only sealed, session-bound verdicts cross to the host, and the session exists only while its human is present.
Every sovereign-compute offering on the market asks you to trust someone. We removed the someone.
Substrate policy is signed by a device identity key and verifiable by anyone — customer, regulator, auditor. Identity is attested continuously by the Liveness Encryption Key, derived from involuntary 8–12 Hz neuromuscular tremor. Biological departure suspends the session within 500 milliseconds; biological return restores it. ZERO RESIDENCY — BOTH HALVES.
The substrate is not a slide. Watch it run — live telemetry from our sovereign node, the LEK band derived from your own input, and the verdict payload a customer receives from the API.
Newtonian Standard is a deep-tech company based in Chicago, Illinois. The patent estate stands at 50+ patent applications filed, spanning the substrate, the emulator, biological attestation, and the verdict-only crossing — the foundational licensing standard for hardware-level sovereign compute.
