We license the primitive.
Partners build on it.

Newtonian Standard, Inc. is a substrate licensor. ZERO Runtime is the product: a floor beneath the application, on which the host that runs a computation cannot read it. We end where our partners begin. We never host your data, and we never compete with you.

Why

Consequential computing

Computing where the stakes make third-person unacceptable: the wire that moves money, the agent that deletes, the model that decides, the memory carried forward.

How

First Person Computing

A machine that computes, remembers, seals, is displayed, and acts only for the present human, where the host cannot read.

What it stands on

Layer Zero

Same bytes, two address spaces. The computation can name the pages; the host cannot.

We make consequential computing accountable and contained. We do not make the intelligence aligned, the model clean, or the decision wise. A floor beneath the safety work, never a substitute.

More than fifteen years in identity management and computing at companies including Okta and Oracle. Holds multiple patents in augmented reality. The inventor of First Person Computing (FPC).

Mechanical engineer by training: University of Illinois, Grainger College of Engineering, BSME 1992. Sole inventor on the Newtonian Standard estate — more than eighty provisional filings since the first priority date of February 4, 2026, filed pro se and prosecuted with counsel.

An abstract painter; three of his paintings hang at the Beckman Institute.

The discipline behind the work is the one on every page of it: a claim is a measurement, every measurement carries its tier, and when the record corrects itself, the correction is kept and shown.

The thesis

The digital inversion.

In 1945, John von Neumann described the architecture every computer since has followed: one memory, holding the program and its data together, read by the processor that runs it. Memory was scarce and dear, and no one thought to wall off a part of it that the machine itself could not see. The observer was built in.

Eighty years on, every system inherits it. The laptop reads the document. The server reads the mail. The cloud reads the data. Identity proves who is asking; encryption, confidential computing and DRM protect one path at a time; and each assumes the machine underneath will behave. The industry's answer to “is it private?” is a promise not to look.

The inversion turns the direction of observation around. The machine computes on what it cannot see, and the computation moves only for the present, authenticated human.

A secret, a program, a film, a design, a medical record: placed where the machine that holds it cannot see it. Hidden architecturally from the world, observable only to the person it belongs to, verified live. You can't steal what was never there. You authenticate yourself to yourself. The machine becomes a place the data works, not a place it is read.

We call the result First Person Computing: a machine that computes, remembers, seals, is displayed, and acts only for the present human, where the host cannot read. Consequential computing — the wire that moves money, the agent that deletes, the model that decides, the memory carried forward — is where that inversion stops being philosophy and becomes a floor. We make it accountable and contained. We do not make the intelligence aligned, the model clean, or the decision wise. A floor beneath the safety work, never a substitute.

Newtonian Standard does not replace the machine. We compose underneath it, on the accelerators already in the rack. Additive. A computer inside a computer.

Where it standsProven on the host-observation path on NVIDIA Blackwell and Lovelace and on AMD MI300X, on hardware we did not modify. Whoever owns the operating system can still take the posture down; that case is the S-Chip's — filed and design-proven, not taped out. Every claim we make carries its tier.
